The Korea International Cooperation Agency and the Rwanda Development Board recently launched a digital library to be used in 30 Rwandan business development centers.

Libraries at telecenters will be equipped with several tablet computers to create an environment for developing digital content and facilitate the access of information.

In the near future, RDB plans to build on this support by setting up a digital library that will make available books, papers, theses, images, sound and video files for educational purposes.

“This e-library project will be one of the model collaborations on ICT with KOICA and RDB. We want to computerize Rwanda’s rural areas with a high level of ICT development,” said Lee Sang-an, volunteer program manager at Rwanda’s KOICA office.
