Air France had allegedly forbidden female flight attendants from serving the ex-IMF chief as he had sexually harassed the staff, according to reports.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, now accused of attempting to rape a hotel maid in New York, had been harassing female staff on flights so frequently that the crew members complained to the company to take measures against ‘Great Seducer.’
The story was revealed by an anonymous letter delivered to a French newspaper Le Parisien from a staff which read “Air France had hundreds of complaints from customers, employees and crew members against the man,” the Daily Mail reported.
The letter also added that “inexplicable mindset which makes him abuse women is further proof,” concerning the rape charges which Strauss-Kahn faces now.
Meanwhile, a spokesman from the company said that Air France “formally denies” about the changes in staff members when Strauss-Kahn was aboard, the Daily Mail reported.

데일리 메일에 따르면 이 사실은 에어프랑스 여승무원이 프랑스 일간 르 파리지앵에 ”에어프랑스의 고객, 직원, 승무원 수백 명이 스트로스-칸에 대한 불만을 접수했다“는 익명으로 편지를 보내면서 드러났다.
이 여승무원은 ‘여성을 성희롱의 대상으로 보는, 스트로스-칸의 이해할 수 없는 사고방식’이야말로 그가 지난 5월14일 뉴욕의 호텔에서 여종업원 나피사투 디알로(32)를 성폭행하려 했다는 혐의의 증거라고 주장했다.
스트로스-칸은 IMF의 총재로 재직하면서 에어프랑스 항공기의 일등석을 자주 이용해 뉴욕과 파리를 오갔다.
그는 성폭행 기도 혐의를 받은 뒤에도 에어프랑스 기내에서 체포됐고 당시 그의 부인 안 싱클레어는 그의 곁에 없었다.
데일리 메일에 따르면 에어프랑스 대변인은 스트로스-칸 때문에 승무원 구성을 바꿨다는 사실을 ‘공식적으로’ 부인했다.
