Shepherd demanding sex without shower found guilty of rape

Italy’s Supreme Court ruled a shepherd, who forcefully had sexual intercourse with his wife without taking a shower, guilty of rape, ANSA reported on Thursday.

The 51-year-old shepherd, whose name has not been revealed, had imposed sex on his wife from 1992 to 2006, ignoring her pleas to wash first.

The Court was told that after refusing to wash, he would force his wife to have sex, ignoring her protests.

The Supreme Court ruled such sexual acts as violent since the shepherd used his strength to force his wife.

The shepherd, a Sicilian native, was sentenced to 9 years in 2007 but an appeals court downgraded the charge from rape to maltreatment and violent behavior. He now faces final sentencing hearing, ANSA reported.

이 남성은 1992년부터 2006년까지 같은 방식으로 부인을 괴롭혀왔으며, 지난 2007년 판결에서 성폭행 혐의로 징역 9년형을 선고 받았다.

이후 항소법원은 죄목을 성폭행에서 학대 및 폭력 행위로 낮춰 형량을 2년으로 줄였지만 대법원 판결에서 다시 성폭행 유죄 판결을 받게 됐다.
