A Seoul global village center is to hold its regular visit to Yongsan Center for the Disabled on Friday Aug. 12. Volunteers can help center users make simple crafts at the event organized by the Itaewon-Hannam Global Village Center to run from 2-4:30 p.m. The items they make are then sold to local stores and institutions to help them earn some money.

Expats are also invited to help out at Yongsan Senior Welfare Center on Monday, Aug. 22. Volunteers can attend from 1:30-3 p.m. to chat with residents who are taking English classes at the center. The session allows center users to meet foreigners from around the world and practice their English skills. Those wishing to take part do not need to be native English speakers to join in. Anyone wanting to volunteer should email pthussey@citizen.seoul.kr for more details and to register.
