A South Korean medical center has donated an ultrasound machine to an African hospital. Samsung Medical Center donated the equipment to a hospital in Zambia as part of a larger health scheme it is sponsoring.

The Samsung employee volunteer program has seen the Kafue District Hospital launch medical camps in the country’s Chongwe and Kafue districts, where locals will receive health check ups. The program is organized and sponsored by Samsung Corporation, Electrical engineering and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO and Urban Self Help.

Samsung Electronics has also set up a community business center with 20 computers where it will offer IT training to young people.
