A 16-years-old German girl had the biggest birthday party ever in Hamburg with some 1,500 guests after she posted the invitation on Facebook.
About 11 people had to be detained by the police, while one officer was injured due to the sheer size of the unexpected crowd.
The birthday girl, known only by her given name Thessa, posted the invitation for her party on her Facebook page. However, she accidently set the event as open, resulting in an immediate 15,000 confirmations.
Her family tried to cancel the party while hiring security to protect the house. Thessa’s friend, Jakob Brückner, told reports that “I called her and she is with grandparents.”
Meanwhile, the guests brought different kinds of gifts including homemade treats and signs reading “Where is Thessa?” “Thessa, celebrating a birthday is not a crime,” the mob chanted.
“Here are people from Hannover and Bremen. Without Thessa, we would not be here,” Metin, a participant, told the Bild newspaper.

이 과정에서 약 11명의 사람이 억류되기도 하였으며, 경찰관 1명이 부상당했다.

한 남성은 빌트 신문에 “여기에는 하노버와 브레멘 등지에서 온 사람들도 있다. 모두 테사를 보기 위해 온 것이다”라고 밝혔다.
