Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller” jacket will be up for sale this month at an auction house in Los Angeles, according to reports.

The red and black calf-skin jacket with the famous winged shoulders is expected to be sold between $200,000 and $400,000, the auctioneer Julien’s Auctions said.

In a press release, Julien’s Auctions said the jacket caused a “fashion craze” during the 1980’s as it was worn for the title track of Jackson’s 1982 album, which has sold around 110 million copies worldwide, making it the highest selling album of all time.

The jacket also has Jackson’s handwriting on the sleeve, reading: “To Bush and Dennis, All My Love, Michael Jackson” as a gift to his two wardrobe designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush.

The proceeds from his futuristic jacket will be sent to an animal sanctuary, which is home to Jackson’s two Bengal tigers, “Thriller” and “Shabu,” the report said.

The auction will also feature around 600 other items of musical memorabilia from a wide range of pop legends such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Madonna.
