About half of Korean office workers said they were neutral about marriage, according to research.

Korea-based recruitment website Job Korea surveyed 633 office workers on their thoughts on marriage.

Although only 2.7 percent said they would not get married at all, 50.2 percent answered that either way was fine. Another 47.1 percent said they were definite about getting married in the future.

The results differed between genders, as most men thought marriage was essential, while females were less likely to think so.

The preferred age of marriage was 35 for men and 33 for women.

When it came to children, the respondents wanted only one or two. Men preferred sons while women preferred daughters.

The most important quality in an ideal partner was personality, followed by love, salary and career, health, family, and academic background.
