Millionaire lottery winner still wants one-bed apartment

A British man who won about $30 million last month in the lottery reportedly has not spent a cent.

Matthew Breach has not bought a luxurious car or house, unlike typical lottery winners. Breach, who used to get up at 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. daily, said his hobby now was sleeping. The ex-truck driver reportedly purchased the lottery ticket while buying a pint of milk.

When asked about his plan for a new home, he said, “I’m hoping to stay locally, but nothing too big,” according to the Sun newspaper. Although he is thinking of travelling around the world, all he has done so far is apply for a passport.

His mother, Sandra, told reporters that “it is a shame he doesn’t have anyone to share his win with.” Matthew had a girlfriend for 14 years until they broke up 3 years ago. British newspapers described her as the “unluckiest woman in Britain.”
