Lotte Hotel Seoul

The hotel’s restaurant Peninsula offers a special cake baking class on Children’s Day from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Participants can take part in the cake-baking experience and also enjoy a lunch buffet. Children will also receive a Children’s Day gift. A variety of activities, such as face-painting, caricature-drawing and magic shows will be offered. The fee is 300,000 won for a family of four. Seoul Palace Hotel

The hotel’s restaurant The Goong will hold a special cooking experience corner, where children can make spaghetti, sandwiches and more on their own with its chef. The program has specially designed menus for children including cheese California roll, mini burger, pumpkin rice, seafood risotto and also a chocolate tower for them to make their own favorite chocolate desserts. The Ritz-Carlton, Seoul

European restaurant the Garden is to offer its new outdoor dining menus, presented by Australian chef Chris Taylor in May. Six different types of full course menus are available in May at dinner time. The price for the BBQ set menu is 85,000 won (10 percent VAT and 10 percent service charge will be added). Novotel Ambassador Gangnam

The hotel’s bar Gran*A offers a special Golden Time event from 9 p.m. through midnight in May. At 9:40 p.m., 10:40 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. every night, the Golden Time event offers 1+1 on Heineken, Guinness or draft beer, 30 percent off a bottle of whiskey or a whiskey upgrade and also 30 percent off the snack menu and cocktails. The hotel offers an afternoon tea buffet at its lobby lounge, starting from May 7. All the arrays of desserts, including a Korean traditional sweets set and a variety of pies such as scone with jam and whipped cream, plum tart, almond cake, cherry pie as well as selections of healthy sandwiches, will be prepared. Teas include traditional teas such as ginger, ginseng, jujube, ssanghwa tea as well as popular herb teas like chamomile and jasmine.
