SaKong to speak at Trilateral Commission

SaKong Il, chairman of Korea International Trade Association and G20 Summit Korea Coordination Committee, will attend the Trilateral Commission annual meeting April 8-10 in Washington, KITA said Tuesday.

SaKong will address the “G20 and global governance” at the meeting which will also be attended by officials including former Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin and Lawrence Summers, former U.S. Treasury secretary and Harvard University president.

Other key participants in the event include International Monetary Fund managing director Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former U.S. secretary of state Henry Kissinger and World Bank president Robert Zoellick.

The Trilateral Commission is a private organization established in 1973 to promote closer cooperation between the United States, Europe and Japan.

Figures from the world’s political, business and academic circles discuss visions for and ways to improve the regions’ politics and economy.
