Officials here said Bin Hammam, a Qatari, will sit down with Cho Chung-yun, head of the Korea Football Association, and Chung Mong-joon, the honorary chairman of the KFA and the outgoing FIFA vice president.

Bin Hammam is scheduled to hold a press conference on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Hotel Shilla in Seoul, along with Cho, Chung and Chung Mong-gyu, commissioner of the K-League, the top division football league here. South Koreans are expected to throw their support behind Bin Hammam.

Bin Hammam has announced he will challenge the incumbent Sepp Blatter for the top global football post. The vote will be held on June 1 at the FIFA Congress in Zurich, Switzerland.
