Yeoksam Global Village Center is organizing a class where you can learn to paint “sagunja” ― the four gracious plants.

The sagunja are plum trees, orchids, chrysanthemums and bamboo. They represent spring, summer, autumn and winter respectively.

The class will teach people how to depict the sagunja in traditional ink and wash painting. The four gracious plants are traditionally an important subject for painting in Korea, as they involve all the basic brush styles.

The class is on Feb. 25 from 4-6 p.m. and costs 3,000 won.

For those interested in the event, please send an email to yeoksam@sba.seoul.kr with your name, nationality and phone number.
