The hotel offers two special romance packages. The “W Dreams in Romance” package includes one night stay in the Wonderful room – with balloons and a set-up bath -- a course dinner at the buffet restaurant Kitchen or the Japanese restaurant Namu, and a Ralph Lauren perfume gift set for two. The price starts from 465,000 won. For those thinking of proposing, the “Who’s Tying the Knot?” package includes a night’s stay in a Cool Corner room, champagne and decorations with chocolates and W T-shirts. The price starts from 540,000 won.


Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas

Celebrating the upcoming Valentine’s Day, the hotel’s French restaurant, Table 34, offers a five-course special set menu featuring foie gras, Australian Wagyu beef and black truffle butter. Desserts include fresh strawberries with heart-shaped marcaroon as well as champagne sorbet. The menu is priced at 140,000 won. Call (02) 559-7631. At Marco Polo, located on the 52nd floor of World Trade Center Korea, a seven-course Mediterranean set menu at 140,000 won will feature Norwegian salmon salad, pan fried foie gras, Korean hanwoo beef tenderloin with Canadian lobster Thermidor. The Westin Chosun Seoul

The hotel’s Italian restaurant Vecchia e Nuovo offers a Valentine’s Day hamper which includes special chocolates, a bottle of wine and flowers. From 9 p.m., the restaurant offers 20-30 percent discount for take-out wines. Sommelier Kim Ju-yong’s Champaign recommendations include Dom Perignon, Pommery Brut Royal, and Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin. Imperial Palace Hotel

The hotel’s Italian restaurant Verona offers a seven-course Valentine’s Day special course. The menu includes lobster ravioli, sirloin steak with eggplant ragout, steamed jumbo shrimp and chocolate fondue. It will be served at a private room where the table will be decorated with rose petals and candles. It also includes two bottles of red wine, a special cake, and a flower bouquet. The price is 350,000 won for two. It is only available for two couples on a first-come-first-served basis and reservation is required. Call (02) 3440-8000. 


Novotel Ambassador Gangnam

The hotel offers a Valentine’s Day package from Feb.12-14. It can be combined with a romantic dinner set menu prepared by the chief chef Gerard Mosiniak. The special set menu is delivered to the room and features risotto of wild rice, Dublin bay prawn tails, slightly salted mangoes and ginger, mushrooms and chestnuts, crushed potatoes with hazelnuts and the Valentine’s Day chocolates.
