Subaru Korea launched the 2011 Forester compact sport utility vehicle on the local market last Monday.

In Subaru’s Boxer engine, the pistons are arranged and move horizontally, as opposed to the up and down movement of an inline engine, which according to the company can result in the pistons vibrating more.
According to the company, the engine has gone through a sweeping upgrade, and lighter materials have been used allowing the engine’s fuel economy to be improved by 10 percent compared to the previous version.
The vehicle’s price, however, remains the same as that of its 2010 version, at 37.9 million won ($34,000).
