[KH Explains] Lotte goes all-out to secure cash amid lackluster earnings
Samsung Group, Korea’s top conglomerate, said Thursday it has launched an English blog to boost communications with users around the world.
The Samsung Village (www.samsungvillage.com) is designed to introduce the group’s history and business, and offer open forums where local and foreign visitors can share their views and opinions about news and human interest stories, the group said.

“Digital media and the social Web have forever changed the way that companies interact with people,” the group’s global communications head Lee Keon-hyok said on the blog. “We value this new opportunity to better connect with the global community by engaging in dialogue.”
Last year, the group also opened its Twitter and Facebook accounts as well as a Korean blog.
“We created a global communications group in June to prop up interactions with foreign media and those who were interested. The group can accelerate such efforts by starting the English blog,” a company official said.
