Backlog of visa applications from Afghan nationals surpasses 200,000

Extra staff are being employed to clear the backlog of humanitarian visa applications from Afghanistan, according to the government. Since the Taliban seized control of Kabul a year ago, more than 200,000 Afghan nationals have applied to come to Australia and many are still waiting.
