Seoul City Bus urges against hot beverages on board

Passengers on Seoul buses will be advised against taking a hot beverage on board via an automated announcement starting from mid-November.
Seoul City’s Bus Policy Department issued an official statement on Monday, asking local transport companies to implement the announcement on their buses.
“Please do not take a hot beverage or food on board, as they can irritate other passengers nearby,” is the line recommended for the announcement as mentioned in the statement.
As this is an advisory rule without legal binding, passengers are not banned from bringing the items on board, rather they are strongly urged against doing so.
