The government ethics panel made public the assets of senior officials, including the ministers of the foreign affairs and finance, Friday, in the second wealth disclosure since the Moon Jae-in administration took office in May.

The Government Public Ethics Committee published them in the official gazette under an act that requires senior civil servants, lawmakers, heads of municipalities, members of local legislatures and senior judges to report their wealth every year.

Topping the list was Shin Hyun-soo, the planning and coordination division chief of the National Intelligence Service.

The former prosecutor and his wife's assets totaled 6.38 billion won ($5.56 million).

Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha came in second, with the total assets held by her, her husband, mother and child amounting to 3.54 billion won.
