Oyeyemi, who currently lives in Prague, wrote her first novel, “The Icarus Girl,” while still at school studying for her A-levels. Since then, she has published four more novels and two plays. Her latest book, the story collection “What is not Yours is not Yours,” was released in 2016.
She has been shortlisted for many awards and her accolades include a Somerset Maugham Award in 2010.
