After a two-month hiatus, singer Jung Joon-young may return to KBS2 hit variety program “Two Days, One Night” next month, according to industry insiders on Thursday.

However, the artist’s management agency C9 Entertainment denied the claim, telling local media that Jung “and the ‘Two Days, One Night’ team have not yet discussed his return to the show.”

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter was mired in an alleged sexual offense scandal in September, when his ex-girlfriend filed charges against him for recording the couple’s sexual activities without her consent earlier this year.

In questioning, Jung -- the lead vocalist of rock band Drug Restaurant -- admitted to filming the encounter, but claimed to have deleted the footage immediately afterward.

Although he was ultimately acquitted of all charges last month, Jung halted all broadcast activities, withdrawing from his regular appearances on “Two Days, One Night” and the second season of tvN’s cooking show “Mr. Baek the Homemade Food Master.”

Since the incident, Jung has remained out of the public eye, living and working on new releases in France, according to C9 Entertainment. The singer returned to Korea this week.
