[STOCK WATCH] Poongsan Holdings edges down

[THE INVESTOR] On Sept. 19 Poongsan Holdings (005810) declined 1.01% to 44,150 won (US$39.48). It had declined 1.68% through the past month. Standard deviation, which indicates variableness, records 1.5% over the same period of time over one month.


   


Compared with its close competitors within the same industry, KOSPI, Poongsan Holdings was not only satisfactory in investment return among its peer group, but its volatility was also the lowest. Over the recent month, the return-on-risk, the return on investment with consideration about risk, was -1.1%. In spite of stock price decline, the return-on-risk remain high with the lowest volatility. Moreover, compared with the KOSPI industry, the return-on-risk is much better than the industrial mean, -3.5, and thus the industrial comparison performance was positive.

From Sept. 12, foreigners have been continuously selling Poongsan Holdings. As a shareholding sum by investor group for the past four weeks, foreigners have bought 266 shares and institutions have bought 8,522 shares with trending trade. However, during the same period, individuals have sold 8,788 shares with a decreasing position.
