Korean-American musician John Park is scheduled to hold his first solo concert in October.

“I hope this concert will be an opportunity for me to show the audience different sides of me,” said Park in a statement released by his management agency Music Farm earlier this week.

After making his first television appearance on the ninth season of the popular American music competition show “American Idol” in 2010, he was crowned the runner-up in Mnet’s similar program “Superstar K2” later in the year.

In 2013, Park established himself as a singer-songwriter and a producer with his first full studio album “Inner Child.” Most recently, the 27-year-old released a digital single titled “Thought of You” last month.

Park’s first solo concert “Prelude” will take place at Blue Square Samsung Card Hall in Seoul from Oct. 22-23 at 6 p.m. Tickets range from 88,000 won to 99,000 won, and can be reserved at ticket.interpark.com starting Aug. 26.
