“As an honorary consul to Brazil and chairman of Korea-Brazil Society, I will make efforts to improve the partnership between Korea and Brazil,” he was quoted as telling the acting president by the company.

He also showed his willingness to expand business between the two nations, saying, “SK Networks will continue to make efforts to partner with reputable business partners to jump into the Brazilian market -- a foothold in South America that also has abundant resources.”

He added, “We are reviewing business related to trading and vehicles.”

Prior to the meeting with the Brazilian leader, the chairman signed a memorandum of understanding between Gyeonggi Province Chamber of Commerce, headed by Choi, and the Federation of Industries of Brazil.

He also wished the national athletes currently participating in the Rio Olympics well, saying, “I hope the performance from the Korean and Brazilian athletes inspire the people of both nations with hope and courage.”
