A man was sentenced to six months in prison for sexually harassing his child’s caregiver, Monday.

Cheongju District Court said the 49-year-old surnamed Park sexually humiliated the 20-year-old female babysitter by touching her against her will at his house in Jeungpyeong-gun, North Chungcheong Province, in October, 2015.

Park repeated the sexual misconduct four days later, and was caught by the victim’s father and her friend, who came to her rescue.

Park denied all charges. However, the court found him guilty based on the photos the victim had taken and the conversation the victim had with her friend regarding the issue.

“The level of harassment he employed was serious,” the court said. “Yet, Park continued to insist on unconvincing excuses and attempted to influence the victim’s testimony by calling her prior to her court attendance.”
Park was ordered six months in prison and to 40 hours of rehabilitation program.

Park has appealed the ruling.
