HBC fest will return to the Haebangchon area of Itaewon this weekend, 10 years since its first outing in 2006.

The festival will see the area’s bars, restaurants and pubs open their doors to bands, soloists and acoustic acts for a live music marathon.

Around 90 acts will be playing at 14 venues in the area, with Saturday seeing the most action.

Nine venues will take part Friday, starting with an open stage in the Hidden Cellar from 7 p.m. and with most other venues starting at 9 p.m.

All venues will be involved Saturday, when the music will start at around 3 p.m. and last till around midnight.

Phillies and Hidden Cellar will also have some performances on Sunday evening.

The festival is free to attend, supported by the venues and three local restaurants -- La Marmite, Casablanca and Jacoby’s. Though there are no tickets for the festival, organizers are selling T-shirts for 15,000 won.
