South Korean golfer Wang Jeung-hun captured his second straight European Tour win Sunday in Mauritius, powered by a dramatic late rally.

Wang shot an even-par 72 in the final round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open at Four Seasons Golf Club at Anahita, for the four-round total of six-under 282. He edged out Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh by one stroke.

This was Wang's second career European Tour win and also his second in as many starts. He won the Trophee Hassan II in Morocco last week.

The 20-year-old is the first golfer to win consecutive tournaments on the European Tour in 2016, and also the first Asian player ever to win in back-to-back weeks.

Wang started the final round alone in second place, one shot behind Rahman, and he trailed Rahman by three shots with three holes to play.

But Rahman fell apart with a double bogey at the par-four 16th and a bogey at the par-three 17th, allowing the South Korean to pull into a tie.

At the par-five 18th, Wang put his second shot into a bunker but hit his approach to about five feet to set up a birdie opportunity.

From off the green, Rahman nearly holed out for an eagle that would have clinched a victory, but instead left himself with an eight-foot birdie putt.

After Rahman missed his attempt, Wang calmly drained his putt to complete his improbable comeback.

Wang has played on the Asian Tour since 2013, and finished ninth on the circuit's money list last season.

Before winning in Morocco, Wang finished tied for second at the Hero Indian Open in March, a tournament co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the European Tour. (Yonhap)
