Seoul Shakespeare Company will be hosting an evening of the writer’s monologues and scenes in honor of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death next week.

The event is part of the Shakespeare Theatre Association’s “400 Dreams: Shakespeare Around the Globe” program to celebrate the anniversary.

Proceeds will go toward the SSC’s production of “Much Ado About Nothing” in May and June.

The company is also running a fund-raising campaign on Indiegogo to help pay for the props, costume and venue, which ends Saturday.

The anniversary event will start at 7:30 p.m. on April 23 at the Camarata Music Company Studio in Haebangchon. Admission is on a “pay what you can” basis, with a suggestion of 5,000 won ($4.30) to 10,000 won. Drinks and refreshments will be available.
