Fashion KODE, an annual trade show for Korean fashion designers, will run March 23-24, during Seoul Fashion Week.

The fifth edition of one of Korea’s largest fashion fairs will take place at J-Gran House near Mount Namsan, Seoul. It will feature some 70 Korean fashion brands and is expected to be attended by more than 500 local and foreign buyers.

There will be local womenswear and menswear brands such as Isabel Moon, Gaze de Lin, Navy Factory Lab and Sling Stone.

This year’s fashion event will host 12 fashion shows, starting with the 2016 fall-winter collection of LIE by designer Lee Chung-chung, who won the fair’s Young Designer Awards last year.

Other designer brands participating in this year’s KODE include designer Kim Do-hyeong’s YTY, Myeong Yoo-seok’s Mill Studio, Choi Bok-ho’s CHOIBOKO and Park Jong-chul’s Sling Stone.

Buyers from major global clothing stores and retailing groups such as L’Eclaireur from France, Camera Buyer Group from Italy as well as Hankyu Department Store and Laforet department store from Japan, are expected to attend.

“Fashion KODE is emerging as one of Asia’s largest fashion fairs, visited by influential buyers around the world,” said Yoon Tae-yong from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which co-organizes the event with its affiliate Korea Creative Content Agency and the Council of Fashion Designers of Korea.

The fair will also showcase the latest technology in fashion such as the template-based 3-D model fitting system, which customers can use to see how clothes look on them. Seoul Fashion Week runs from March 21-26.
