More than a dozen of the best-selling models produced by Hyundai Motor Group, the world’s fifth-largest automotive group, showed robust global sales in 2015, data showed Monday. 

A total of 19 models released by Hyundai Motor and its sister company Kia Motors logged sales exceeding 100,000 units last year in six nations, including the United States, China, India, Brazil and Russia, according to the data compiled by the Korea International Trade Association.

In the U.S., over 200,000 units of the Sonata and Avante were sold, and four other models broke the 100,000 sales threshold.

The Landong -- known as the Avante MD in South Korea -- was the best-selling model in China, marking 267,085 sales last year, followed by the subcompact Accent. Five other models had over 100,000 unit sales in China.

Meanwhile, back on Hyundai’s home turf, midsize sedan Sonata and subcompact Avante were the most popular brands.
