Two foreign cultural markets will open in Seoul and Busan this month with a selection of handicrafts from vendors based across the country.

Celebrating its first anniversary, the monthly Busan Foreign Culture Market will open Saturday at Owl and Pussycat, Hq, Beached Bar & Sharkys Bar in the city’s Gwangan area, with a magical theme.

The market will feature handmade accessories, stationery, soaps and scents, many of which will have touches from “Harry Potter.”

Busan Abandoned Pet Sanctuary will also be there, selling calendars and treats for pets and people to raise money for the shelter.

The market will also host a charity tombola and raffle.

The Seoul Foreign Culture and Craft Market will open in Haebangchon on Jan. 31.

The list of vendors attending both events includes Miso Paws, a purveyor of handcrafted soaps and candles which is hosting the Seoul market.

Other vendors include Busan-based Broadhead Boutique, selling gifts and jewelry, Yogi-Yo Accessories, selling kitschy jewelry, and Daol Art Center, a Korean center in Gyeonggi Province that makes traditional “hanji” paper dolls.

Food offerings include South African fare from Biltong in the ROK and dips and pastas from Shannon from Scratch.

The Seoul market will be held from 2-6 p.m. at V-Lounge in Haebangchon. To get there, walk straight from Noksapyeong Station, Exit 2, and bear left at the first turning. V Lounge is on the left as you walk up the hill, after 300 meters.
