확실히 알아보기 어렵다

Jieun: What color are your eyes? It’s hard to tell.
앤디씨 눈은 무슨 색깔이에요? 분간하기가 어려워요.

Andi: They’re blue. But sometimes seem to change color depending on what I wear. Sometimes blue, sometimes green, sometimes gray. How about you? I can’t really tell either.
파란색이에요. 하지만 가끔 제가 입는 옷에 따라 색깔이 바뀌어요. 어떤 땐 파랑, 어떤 땐 녹색, 또 어떨 땐 회색이에요. 지은 씨는요? 저도 무슨 색인지 못 알아보겠는데요.

Jieun: I have black eyes.
전 검정 눈이에요.

Andi: Um… Probably not. A black eye is when someone hits you and your eye turns black. They’re probably dark brown.
음… 아마 아니겠죠. 검은 눈이라는 건 누군가가 지은씨를 때려서 지은씨 눈이 검게 멍들었을 때 쓰는 말이에요. 아마 지은씨 눈은 어두운 갈색일거에요.

Jieun: I guess you’re right. Most Koreans have dark brown eyes, but it’s the thing to wear contact lenses these days.
앤디씨가 맞는 거 같네요. 대부분의 한국사람들 눈은 어두운 갈색이죠. 하지만 요즘에는 또 컨텍트 렌즈도 많이 껴요.

Andi: Do you ever wear contact lenses?
지은씨는 렌즈 끼세요?

Jieun: I like to be myself and do my own thing.
전 제 모습 이대로가 좋고, 그냥 내 방식대로 하고 싶어요.
