Hite Jinro liquor products have entered the duty-free stores at Dubai International Airport, company officials said Monday.

The company’s soju products, Ilpoom Jinro and Chamisul, will be sold in the liquor section along with premium alcohol products around the world.

Ilpoom Jinro is a premium soju product made with unadulterated distilled rice liquid and aged in oak for over 10 years.

Ilpoom Jinro (375 milliliters, 25 percent alcohol) is priced at $35 per bottle, with Chamisul (700 milliliters, 22 percent alcohol) at $16.94, which is in a similar price range to that of foreign alcohol products of similar nature.

A company official said that products such as Ilpoom Jinro entering the airport duty-free store is a good opportunity to showcase Korean liquor to foreign travelers.

“We will do our best to promote Korean liquor to more people across the world as a leading alcohol company in Korea,” he said.

The Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates is a world-leading hub airport that saw 70 million passengers in 2014.
