축구대표 박주호, 독일 도르트문트로 이적…3년 계약

한국 축구 대표팀의 '멀티플레이어' 박주호(28) 가 독일 분데스리가 마인츠를 떠나 명문 보루시아 도르트문트에 새 둥지를 틀었다.

도르트문트와 마인츠는 29일(한국시간) 구단 트위터를 통해 박주호의 이적 사실 을 공표했다.

마인츠는 "박주호의 도르트문트 이적이 완료됐다"라면서 "새 클럽에서 행운을 빈다"라고 썼다.

독일 스포츠 전문지 키커는 박주호가 도르트문트와 2018년까지 3년 계약을 맺었 다고 곧바로 보도했다.

두 구단의 공식 발표에 앞서 키커는 박주호의 이적설을 전하면서 이적료가 300 만 유로(약 40억원)라고 보도한 바 있다. 독일 언론 빌트는 이적료를 350만 유로(약 46억원)로 추산했다.

박주호는 도르트문트의 왼쪽 풀백인 마르셀 슈멜처와 치열한 주전 경쟁을 펼칠 것으로 보인다.

2013년 FC바젤(스위스)에서 마인츠로 이적하며 분데스리가에 입성한 박주호는 왼쪽 풀백과 미드필더를 오가며 안정적인 기량을 뽐냈다.

지난 시즌 2014 인천 아시안게임 차출과 부상으로 가동되지 못한 기간을 제외하 면 대부분을 주전으로 뛰며 두 시즌 동안 48경기 1득점을 기록했다.

박주호는 인천 아시안게임에서 금메달을 목에 걸어 병역 의무에서 자유롭다.

S. Korean Park Joo-ho moves to Germany's Borussia Dortmund

South Korean Park Joo-ho has moved to Borussia Dortmund of the German Bundesliga on a three-year contract at the beginning of his third season in the European country, the club said Saturday.

"South Korean national football player Park Joo-ho joined Borussia Dortmund from FSV Mainz 05," said the German team on its website. "The 28-year old left defender signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund until June 30, 2018."

It did not disclose the financial terms of the contract, but local media reported that the Dortmund has paid some 3 million euros ($3.3 million) in transfer fees to Mainz 05 to acquire Park.

Park, a hard-working, versatile veteran who can play in midfield or on defense, is expected to take a defensive role on his new team.

Park started his European career with Swiss FC Basel in 2011 and moved to Mainz 05 two years later. He appeared in 48 matches with Mainz 05, scoring one goal.
