A : What was your childhood like?
A : 네 어린 시절은 어땠니?

B : I lived out in the countryside on a farm with my family, and I remember being quite a rascal.
B : 난 가족들하고 교외에 있는 농장에서 살았는데, 내 기억에 나는 꽤나 장난꾸러기였어.

A : You lived on a farm?
A : 농장에서 살았다고?

B : Yep. Our house was made out of adobe and straw, and was surrounded by several acres of barley.
B : 그래, 우리 집은 진흙과 짚으로 만든 초가집이었고 주변에는 몇 에이커나 되는 보리가 둘러싸고 있었어.

A : Life must have been pretty boring for you.
A : 야, 틀림없이 사는 게 좀 지루했겠구나.

B : Not at all. We used to make in the creek that came down the mountain, and run through the fields playing tag at harvest time.
B : 전혀 그렇지 않아. 우린 가끔 산 아래로 흐르는 시냇물에서 걸어 다니기도 하고 추수 때가 되면 들판을 뛰어 다니며 술래 잡기도 하곤 했었어.
