V-Day Jinju will hold a performance of the “Vagina Monologues” on Saturday in support of a local women’s charity.
The play by Eve Ensler is one of several performances put on each year by participants of V-Day, a global campaign to stop violence against women and girls. Jinju has held V-Day performances each year since 2009.
Proceeds from the performance will go toward Naeil Yeoneun Jip, a women’s shelter in Munsan, just outside the city.
The play starts at 7:30 p.m. at Hyunjang Art Hall in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province. Admission is 10,000 won or 5,000 won for students.
