LG CNS, one of Korea’s information technology solutions developers, said Wednesday that it has launched this year’s mentoring program between senior and junior employees.

First started in 2006, the corporate mentoring programs have helped fresh employees adjust to their new workplace and build bonds with colleagues.

“In order to become an IT expert, one should quickly adapt to the fast changing work environment,” said Lim Hyun-soo, a new employee at the firm’s finance and compliance team.

“I will do my best to grow fast and become an expert through the mentoring initiative.”

A total of 123 new employees who entered the firm earlier this month participated in the launch event of this year’s program held at the FKI Tower in Yeouido, a financial district of Seoul.

They were joined by 83 seniors who will help them learn the ropes of the company.
