Hankook Tire Co., the seventh-largest tire company in the world, said Tuesday that it has been selected as the tire supplier for Audi's new TT and TTS two-door coupes.
It said the high-performance Ventus S1 evo2 has been picked as the standard tire for the completely redesigned sports cars. The tire is produced in Europe and has demonstrated optimum performance under demanding conditions, according to the company.
Hankook said three different radial Ventus S1 evo2 variations will be supplied to the German company: the 17-inch 225/50R17 and 245/45R17, and the 19-inch 245/35R19.
The company said the very latest innovative technologies have been used for the development of the high-end tires in order to effectively support the character of various vehicles.
"The Audi coupes stand for excellent design as well as dynamism and innovation, and are thus a perfect match for our flagship Ventus S1 evo2 tires," said Suh Seung-hwa, Hankook's CEO and vice chairman. (Yonhap)
