Corporate PR Awards/Gold Prize
SK

The Asian Games was held recently in Korea for the third time in 12 years, but there was less enthusiasm and interest in the sporting event this time on account of an economic downturn and other social issues.

Nevertheless, the athletic excellence displayed by our national team members was enough to offer hope and dreams to the people here.

Aware of the positive impact of sporting events, SK has been supporting our national team athletes for more than 10 years. This time around, these included members of the fencing team, who achieved their best result ever with 17 medals. SK also supported Lee Da-lin, who successfully made her debut as a swimmer, and the men’s and women’s handball teams, who rewrote their history with every single match.

It was difficult to put all the dramatic moments on paper. We secured advertisement space at an opportune time ― on Oct. 6, right after the Games had ended. Although the men’s handball team came in second, the efforts they made throughout the Games were well portrayed in our advertisement.

A lot of thoughts and ideas were shared to create an advertisement that best expresses our gratitude to our team members. I would like to express my appreciation to those who helped us along the way.

SK will continue to be a reliable supporter of the team members so that they can keep on giving us hope and happiness with their endless passion and ambition.

I would like to thank everyone and The Korea Herald for giving us the award.
