1. 영화 ‘명량’ 천만관객 돌파

한국 영화 ‘명량’이 최단시간 1천만관객 돌파의 새로운 신기록을 작성했다. 개봉 12일 만에 천만 관객을 동원한 것은 영화 ‘괴물’과 ‘도둑들’보다 열흘 앞선 기록이다. 이는 개봉 영화 사상 12번째 천만 관객을 돌파한 것이고 한국 영화로는 10번째다.

'Roaring Currents’ draws 10m viewers 

[1] The period action flick “Roaring Currents” has set yet another breakthrough box office record by drawing 10 million viewers quicker than any other film in Korean cinematic history.

[2] According to CJ E&M, the viewership of the historical action film topped 10 million as of Sunday, just 12 days since its premiere, becoming the fastest Korean movie to pass the milestone in the local film market.

2. 내란음모 혐의 이석기의원, 항소심서 징역 9년 선고 받아

서울 고등법원은 내란음모 혐의 등으로 1심에서 징역 12년을 선고 받은 이석기 통합진보당 의원에 대한 항소심 선고공판에서 징역 9년과 자격정지 7년을 선고했다. 재판부는 내란선동과 국가보안법 위반 혐의를 인정했으나 증거 불충분으로 내란음모 혐의는 인정하지 않았다. 

UPP’s Lee sentenced to 9-year jail term over revolt charges

[1] The Seoul High Court on Monday sentenced Lee Seok-ki of the minor opposition Unified Progressive Party to a nine-year jail term and banned him from office for seven years, finding him guilty of inciting a revolt.

The High Court judges also upheld the earlier ruling that Lee and the other defendants had violated the National Security Act by promoting North Korean ideals. The court, however, dismissed the charge of conspiracy to revolt.

3. 할리우드 명배우 로빈 윌리엄스 자살로 생 마감해

할리우드 명배우 로빈 윌리엄스가 11일 오전 캘리포니아 티뷰론에 있는 자택에서 숨진 채 발견됐다. 경찰은 윌리엄스가 목을 매 스스로 목숨을 끊었다고 공식 예비조사 결과를 발표했다. 최종 결론이 나오기 까지는 시간이 걸리 전망이다. 윌리엄스는 평소 극심한 우울증을 앓은 것으로 전해졌다.
