Another person was killed and two others hurt after a tree toppled over them at a camping site in North Gyeongsang Province, the agency said.
A family of six, including two infants, and a friend died after being swept away by rain-swollen water as they drove over an inundated bridge in North Gyeongsang, it added.
More than 13,000 households in the southern region experienced a blackout before power was restored by Sunday morning.
The typhoon also flooded 3,300 hectares of farmland and damaged crops at a 430-hectare orchard in South Jeolla Province, the agency said.
Sixteen houses were inundated and 11 were damaged, while six fishing boats were swept away by high waves.
More than a dozen roads were destroyed and 130 trees fell over before the season’s 12th typhoon dissipated off the southwestern coast at around 3 p.m. Sunday. (Yonhap)
