The Mayfield Hotel and Resort opened its first business hotel Mayplace in Dongdaemun, Seoul on Thursday.

Mayplace is located within walking distance to major tourist spots in the capital such as Changgyeonggung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine. It’s also close to the shopping districts of Dongdaemun, Myeongdong and Insa-dong.

“The location, outstanding service and reasonable price make the hotel an attractive accommodation option for both leisure and business travelers,” said Kim Choong-sik, general manager of Mayplace Seoul Dongdaemun.

The hotel is a 13-story building with 107 guestrooms of six types. The hotel offers two different views ― a palace view that overlooks the old royal palaces and shrine and a city view that looks out to the dynamic cityscape of Seoul.

All guestrooms are equipped with the Korean floor heating system that effectively facilitates heating in winter. Wi-Fi is available everywhere in the hotel. The lobby features a business space where guests can process basic office work. The conference room can accommodate small meetings and workshops. The hotel has a rooftop garden which serves as a relaxing spot surrounded by the urban scape.
