유채영 위암 말기, 수술 후 항암치료 받았지만 위독..남편 “많은 분들이 기도해줬으면..”

가수 출신 연기자 유채영(41)이 위암 말기 판정을 받아 안타까움을 자아내고 있다.

유채영은 지난해 10월 몸에 이상을 느끼고 건강검진을 받던 중 위암 말기 판정을 받았다.

이후 같은 달 신촌 연세대학교 세브란스 병원에서 수술을 받았으나, 수술 당시 이미 암세포가 다른 장기로 전이된 것으로 전해졌다.
21일 유채영의 남편은 한 매체를 통해 “유채영이 활동하는 동안 많은 사람에게 기쁨을 준만큼 많은 분들이 기도해줬으면 좋겠다”고 전했다.
한편, 현재 유채영은 서울 연세대 세브란스 병원에서 치료 중이며, 남편 김주환 씨와 가족들이 유채영의 곁을 지키고 있다.

Singer Yoo Chae-yeong in critical condition with stomach cancer

South Korean singer and actress Yoo Chae-yeong is suffering from advanced gastric cancer, a Korean media outlet reported Monday.

According to the reports, Yoo was first diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer last October during a medical check-up. The 36-year-old entertainer then underwent surgery, but her condition did not improve.

She is now in critical condition as the cancer has spread. She is still undergoing treatment.

“My wife Chae-yeong made many people happy in her life. I hope those who know her can pray for her after hearing this news,” Yoo’s husband Kim Joo-hwan was quoted as saying.

Yoo worked as a radio DJ early last year, but stepped down after her health deteriorated.

Yoo debuted at 17 in 1994 as a member of K-pop veteran group Cool, and then as a solo act in 1999. She starred in numerous dramas, films and TV shows, broadening her presence as an all-around entertainer.
