Korean-American K-pop singer Ailee showed off her powerful voice at a small but famous bar in New York on SBS reality show “The Law Of City” aired on Wednesday.

Ailee went to the live bar to earn money with actor Jung Kyung-ho and Moon of K-pop boy group Royal Pirates. The singer took the stage right after Moon’s performance.

“Actually, I used to live in New Jersey. And I debuted as a singer in Korea. Before I became a singer, I sang a lot of songs in America,” the K-pop diva said as an introduction before a small crowd.

The first song Ailee chose was “Halo” originally sung by Beyonce. “Halo” was the song that brought Ailee to fame during an audition program, which also earned her the nickname “Korea’s Beyonce.”

The audience was captivated by Ailee’s powerful and colorful vocals, which could not be hindered by bar’s poor sound system. Ailee continued the performance with songs from Beyonce’s movie “Dream Girls,” “One Night Only” and Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”

“If there is anyone listening, all performances are precious to me,” Ailee said, expressing her feelings. Ailee earned $100 from the bar director for the performance.

The next episode of “The Law Of City” will air on Wednesday at 11:15 p.m. on SBS.
