Seoul Shakespeare Company will present “The Player’s Play,” a production of monologues and music, this Saturday in Haebangchon.

A departure from the company’s full-length performances of Shakespeare’s most famous productions, such as “Hamlet” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “The Player’s Play” will include snippets of scenes and musical passages from Shakespearean classics.

“The Tempest,” “Henry V,” “Julius Caesar,” “Macbeth” and “King Lear” are among the plays from which the short pieces will be taken.

After the show, local musical acts Kraig and Kira, the Jen Wai Band and Paul Silvestri will take the stage.

The event will take place at the Camarata Music Company Studio with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 8 p.m. A donation of 10,000 won is suggested. All funds collected will go toward future productions performed by the Seoul Shakespeare Company.
