Kim Jeong-hoon, former member of ballad duo UN, will be returning to the music scene with a new EP next month, according to an announcement released by Mersenne Entertainment.
Since parting ways with UN in 2005, Kim, who is oftentimes referred to as the “Hallyu Prince” in Japan and China, has been busy with his acting career, with roles in hit productions such as the popular TV dramas “Princess Hours” and “I Need Romance” as well as the films “DMZ” and “Wild Dogs.”

Although the singer-turned-actor released a number of singles in the past, most of them were remakes of his past tracks. Kim’s upcoming EP is slated to be released on July 3 and will mark his first significant batch of new music in nearly seven years.
“This mini-album will include songs that will show off Kim Jeong-hoon’s wide emotional range,” said the statement released by representatives of Mersenne Entertainment. “It has been quite a while since he has gone back to singing so we are planning a lot of promotional activities; we hope the fans are anxious.”
