South Korean rapper Psy's new single, "Hangover," landed in 26th place on the Billboard singles chart to be released soon, the U.S. music magazine that runs the chart said Wednesday.

The single featuring American hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg was ranked No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100, showing strength in the streaming category, according to Billboard.com. The weekly chart will be updated on Thursday (on U.S. local time).

This made Psy the first Asian singer whose three songs were included in the top 30 of the Hot 100 chart for the third time in a series.

After debuting at No. 69 on the Hot 100 chart in September 2012, Psy's mega-hit song, "Gangnam Style," stayed at No. 2 on the chart for seven weeks in a row.

His follow-up single, "Gentleman," broke into the chart at 12th place in April last year and had climbed to fifth place.

"The track starts with 90 percent of its chart points from streaming, entering Streaming Songs at No. 4 with 7.3 million U.S. streams (97 percent of which are from Vevo on YouTube video views)," Billboard said.

The video for "Hangover" has attracted 69 million views on YouTube as of Thursday morning, 10 days after its release.

Shot in Seoul, the video depicts South Korea's drinking culture and nightlife. In the video, Psy and American hip-hop star Snoop Dogg have drinks to cure their hangovers and visit some late-night places such as a karaoke room, a convenience store and a billiard hall. (Yonhap)
