Where is Blackpink headed?
Singer Lena Park released a new mini album “Syncrofusion” on Tuesday through music sites after a two-year hiatus.
“Many artists collaborated together for Lena’s new album to make it a unique genre. You will be able to meet her new look through the album,” said Blueprint Music, Inc. “Also, as this album’s vocalist and artist, Lena will show her new side to her fans,” they added.
The album was supposed to be released in April, but as Park expressed sorrow over the Sewol ferry disaster, she postponed the release date. Team89, Paul Jackson Jr., and Mauricio Guerrero helped with making the album.
The mini album “Syncrofusion” includes title song “Double Kiss,” which infuses electronic dance music -- not Lena’s usual genre. The singer more often sings ballads, but is trying to undergo an extreme makeover with her image.
The album and its music video were released simultaneously. Verbal Jint appeared in the MV with actor Lee Yong-woo and director Moon Seung-jae. Meanwhile, Lena is currently on a nationwide tour that started May 9 and is planning to participate in MBC “Show! Music Core” on June 21.
