Forum to discuss women’s leadership

Women leaders in media, fashion and culture will talk about women’s leadership and style at the Beautiful Women Conference, scheduled for June 13-14 in Seoul.

The conference, in its second year, will bring seven figures from media, fashion, makeup, interior design and classical music, who will give tips on enriching life as well as leadership among women. The conference will be held at Auditorium at Coex, Samseong-dong, Seoul.

The invited speakers are Sohn Ji-ae, former president and CEO of Arirang TV; Han Jemma, creative director of KOTRA; Na Hyo-jin, creative director of DAKS Ladies; Noh Yong-nam, senior make-up artist at Bobbi Brown; Kim Yoon-he, head designer of Hanssem Interior; Lee Kyung-min, make-up artist and creative director of VIDI VICI; and Jang Il-beom, classical music critic and radio host of KBS Classic FM.

“The first Beautiful Women Conference drew more than 400 women and men. The conference will help women expand their networks and shape their own culture,” said Kwon Ji-yeon, CEO of Genuine Global Company, which organizes the conference.

Sohn will open the conference with a keynote speech on June 13. She will talk about how to be a “self-leader” in all aspects of life and the “female leadership” that encompasses communication, respect and the arts and humanities.

Han Jemma, celebrated art curator, will lead a discussion on women’s leadership on June 14. Han will talk about leadership shaped by sharing with others and independent reflection. Her session entitled “The life of wise and creative women” will deal with the story of her career and personal life, focusing on the theme of balancing work and life.

Stylist speakers will offer tips on styling in fashion, interior design and make-up. Culture critics will share ways to lead a cultured life.

Tickets are on sale at Interpark for 30,000 won, with a 30 percent discount given for payments made with BC Card, KEB Card and Hana SK Card.

All participants will be gifted with a free drive coupon from the official Volkswagen dealer Volkswagen Klasseauto and a smartphone holder during the conference.
