Korean food in ceramic art at Lotte Hotel Seoul

Lotte Hotel Seoul’s Korean restaurant Mugunghwa is presenting the “Elegance of Korean Cuisine” promotion from May 12-31, during which a special menu featuring traditional banga and royal cuisine will be offered. The courses will be served on dishes crafted by Korean ceramic artists. The lunch course, priced at 100,000 won, includes fish dumplings, bamboo sprouts, grilled chicken, abalone soup and bamboo rice. The dinner course, priced at 135,000 won, includes fish dumplings, squid noodles, bamboo sprouts, royal seafood hot pot, gujeolpan -- a platter of nine Korean delicacies -- and grilled beef with bamboo rice or noodles. The “Elegance of Korean Cuisine Wine Dinner,” priced at 300,000 won, will take place on May 23. Open to 20 guests only, the dinner will offer Korean cuisine and seven different wines. Cake-making class at Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel

Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel’s deli is holding a cake-making class in which guests can design and decorate their own cakes. Over 24 kinds of cake decorations, including jellies, cookies, nuts and chocolate, are available for selection by guests. Those who send in a photograph prior to the class can have the photo printed on the cake with edible ink. The class is especially popular among guests looking to make a unique cake for birthdays, anniversaries or a special occasion. The class -- priced at 33,000 won per person, including tax -- is available every second and fourth Sunday of the month from 3-4 p.m. One session is limited to 6 guests. Suite package special at Imperial Palace Seoul

Imperial Palace Seoul is offering special suite package from May 1-Sept. 30, in celebration of the hotel’s 25th anniversary. The package will include a one-night stay in the Duplex or Corner suite, two vouchers (valued at 210,000 won) for hair care at the salon “Cha Hong Ardor,” a tea tray set (valued at 200,000 won) exclusively designed for the hotel by Hankook Porcelain and the “Original Raw Set of 3” make-up kit (valued at 150,000 won) designed to protect the skin from the sun. The special package is available for 450,000 won to only Korean citizens residing in Korea and foreign residents with proof of residency in Korea. Seafood promotion at Millennium Seoul Hilton

Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Japanese restaurant Genji is presenting a special promotion showcasing dishes made with eel, sea bass and croaker during May and June. In Japan, grilled eel is known as a nutritious dish that increases stamina and restores energy and beauty. Croaker is a fish high in protein, low in carbohydrates and full of vitamin B as well as Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Sea bass is a sweet and flavorful fish full of protein and high in vitamin B, magnesium and phosphorus. Dishes including eel with rice, steamed eel with brown rice, grilled eel set, croaker with vegetables hot pot, grilled sea bass, sea bass with vegetables hot pot and sea bass sashimi are available as part of the promotion. Dessert buffet at Renaissance Seoul

Renaissance Seoul’s lobby lounge Trevi is presenting a dessert buffet Monday to Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Every day, the lounge will offer different types of desserts. Until the end of June, the lounge will present a “cherry-themed” buffet which will include soft donuts, pound cake, cherry muffins, macaroons and other desserts. The regular dessert buffet is priced at 12,500 won and the buffet with unlimited coffee or tea is priced at 19,500 won. All prices include tax and service charge.
